Community Voice

Our community representative is a former member of the East Team Board, comprised of East District residents representing their neighborhood civic and tenant associations, was established as the East District’s neighborhood governance body.

Mission/Purpose

To maintain and sustain a neighborhood governance body, that’s works to improve the quality of life for East District children, youth, families, and communities. Our community representative will continue to work the neighborhood civic and tenant associations and the City of Richmond to make recommendations for the implementation of city policies for the East District. As a means of executing the East District policies; a 501c3 non profit status has been obtained which is called Richmond East District Improvement Corporation – REDIC.

Function

REDIC affords the East Team Board the opportunity to seek financial assistance to projects.

Meeting

The neighborhood, civic, and tenant associations meet once per month at the East District Building, 701 North 25th Street at 7pm in the 1st floor conference room.
